Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four children born August 9th, 1976 in Beaumont Puy in Domme. Her parents encouraged her parents, a dentist and teacher who were both teachers to pursue her interest in theatre. This contrasted with her previous desire to be a primatologist due to the fact that she adored monkeys. At the age of a young lady the rise to fame was rapid and marked with the beginning of her recognition and success. When she graduated in 1998, her studies, she was able to take part in Jeunes Premiers which is a French TV talent-scouting programme which was run by Canal+. There she won the award for Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. It was this that led her to begin her professional acting career. Tautou was raised in a Catholic home, and was a member of the religious services, despite having attended school in school at the Institut Catholique de Paris. The modeling and acting careers of Tautou were intertwined. Her image was the mainstay for L'Oreal Mont Blanc Chanel, and is known as The Chanel Muse. Apart from her acting career she is also interested in photography. The actress recently showed some photos in the Arles Film Festival, under the title Superficial. Her work focuses on celebrity in addition to the fame. It also features an assortment of self-portraits as well as a particular focus on the media that has closely scrutinized Tautou following her rapid rise in stardom after Amelie. Audrey Tautou's first big part, playing Amelie Poulain's main actor in the film Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain, brought her international stardom. Amelie received international acclai box office success and was recognized at award ceremonies across the globe. The film is still the highest-grossing French film of the French language in the US. In the following year, she starred in British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things as well as Jean-Pierre Jeunet The long day of the fiancailles. Then Tautou moved to Hollywood to work in Hollywood, where Ron Howard directed the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code.
