Keerthy (born on the 17th of October 1992), is an Indian actress. She has a prominent role on screen in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films. She received the National Film Award as Best Actress in 2018 in the role of actress Savitri which was in the Telugu movie Mahanati. The actress also won three SIIMA Awards and a Filmfare Award South. Keerthy Kumar is the daughter of film producer G. Suresh Kumar, and actor Menaka G. Suresh. Her career began in early 2000s when she was a child actor. Her return to the film industry after studying fashion. She had her first lead performance in the 2013 Malayalam film Geethaanjali. She went on to star in successful films such as Ring Master (2014), Rajinimurugan (2016), Remo (2016), Bairavaa (2017), Nenu Local (2017), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Mahanati (2018), Sarkar (2018), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Penguin (2020), Miss India (2021), Good Luck Sakhi (2022) and Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022). In the year 2015, Keerthy accepted her first films outside of Malayalam and was signed to participate in a variety of Tamil films simultaneously. The director is A. L. Vijay together alongside Vikram the director, that released Idhu Enna Maayam in 2015. The film didn't fare much, but it did release. In order to fit in more ambitious projects, she needed to cancel films that she'd already begun working on. These include Krishna's Maane Thaene Paeye as well as Deekay's Kavalaivendam. She worked in two films in rapid succession together with Sivakarthikeyan, Rajini Murugan & Remo. Dhanush was also an actor of note in Prabhu's Thodari. It was delayed since 2015 and reports suggest the film will release after September 2020, under the name Janakitho Nenu. Nenu Sailaja (2016), with Ram Pothineni as the actor was Keerthy's debut. In January 2017, Keerthy appeared in Bairavaa in a film starring actor Vijay and produced by Bharathan. In 2017, Keerthy also was on the screen in the Tamil film PaambhuSattai and Telugu film Nenu Local.
